Filmed on location at Wollombi Wines, in the beautiful surrounds of the Hunter Valley, DANCING WITH MY MOTHER is a semi-biographical film tribute, dedicated to the memory of Joey Atkins.  Using dance and magical realism, DANCING WITH MY MOTHER sheds light on a loving, brilliant but troubled young man and the deep bond he shared with his mother Sheree da Costa. It is hoped this film will raise awareness for mental health issues, addiction, Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (also known as HPPD) and suicide prevention.
